The Energy Resources Concept and Heat and Electricity Supply Systems
We provide conceptual models for planning of energy sources and systems of heat and electricity supply.
We design an optimal mix of sources, selection of suitable fuels and equipment arrangement. We also perform balance calculations, economic evaluations and design distribution system sizing while making use of environmentally friendly technologies.
We prepare transformation plans.
Act No. 165/2012 Coll., on Supported Energy Sources, sets out the conditions under which a district heating system may be considered efficient. If a system with a capacity exceeding 5 MW does not meet the parameters of an efficient system by the prescribed deadlines, its operator is obliged to submit a transformation plan for a period of 10 years to the Energy Regulatory Office (ERÚ) for approval.
When preparing the transformation plan, we assess your heat supply system and the existing mix of energy sources, examine the possibilities for using energy from renewable energy sources (RES), waste heat, and combined heat and power generation, including their appropriate combinations. We calculate current and projected consumption, carry out energy balances, propose an optimal mix of energy sources, determine investment and operating costs, and prepare a timetable for the gradual transition to an efficient heat supply system.
