A new electric boiler in Štětí will support the flexibility of energy operations

We are implementing a project to install a 1 MW electric boiler in the existing heat exchange station SVS 6 in Štětí.

A new 1 MW electric boiler will be installed in the existing SVS 6 facility. The boiler will be used for so-called “ramping” within FRR-. Heat output from the boiler will be managed by preheating the return heating water in the existing district heating pipeline during winter months, and by accumulation into the same pipeline during summer months. The boiler will operate only during SVR activations. A new 1 MW plate heat exchanger will be installed between the boiler and the primary side of the district heating system.

A new DN125 district heating connection will also be constructed for the SVS 6 facility, and a DN100 outlet from the heat exchanger will be newly connected to the existing pipeline. To supply the new electric boiler, a medium-voltage loop, a new transformer station, and a switchgear system will be installed.

More space, more comfort: Complex Project in a new environment

At the end of February, we relocated to new offices in a modern building within the Svatopetrská administrative complex. The building was constructed on the site of the former Dantona car repair shop, which many may still remember.

We now occupy an entire floor with several offices, a kitchenette, and full facilities. The premises are equipped with modern technologies and provide a high level of comfort for everyday work.

With this move, we have retained the advantages of our original location in the Brno-South administrative area, offering excellent access to the city centre while remaining close to the motorway. This ensures convenient commuting for both Brno-based and out-of-town colleagues. An additional benefit is the availability of parking options in the surrounding area.

We have started the installation of an electric boiler for Tenza Energo in Lipník

We are installing an electric boiler for Tenza Energo in Lipník, where it will provide frequency containment and balancing services.

At the Zahradní boiler house site, a modern hot-water electric boiler with a capacity of 1 MW will be installed, enabling a rapid response to fluctuations in the power grid.

The electric boiler will primarily be used during periods of surplus electricity in the grid, when the generated heat will be efficiently integrated into the district heating system. The solution also includes heat storage in accumulation tanks, contributing to greater operational flexibility and more efficient use of available energy.

The project will further develop the efficient district heating system in Lipník in accordance with the Energy Act, converting electricity into heat for direct use within the district heating network. The project thus contributes to grid stability, improved energy efficiency, and the sustainable development of heating infrastructure.

We commissioned the third electrode boiler in Chrudim

At the end of November 2025, the project “Installation of the third electrode boiler including thermal storage with a capacity of 2 × 250 m³ and emergency cooling” was successfully tested and commissioned. The project involved the installation of a high-voltage (6.3 kV) electrode boiler with an output of 20 MWe for the provision of ancillary services (ČEPS), including the transfer of thermal output to storage tanks, a heat exchanger station, the EOP hot-water distribution system, and an emergency cooling system.

The installed equipment underwent comprehensive testing, which concluded with the certification of the source for the provision of ancillary services. This represents another successfully completed project within the Chrudim energy centre, which plays a significant role in providing power balance services for the Czech transmission system.

We are installing the third electrode boiler for Energeon in Chrudim. Our work also includes the connection of accumulation tanks, power distribution, technical installations, hot water piping, emergency cooling, measurement and control systems (MaR), and control systems (SKŘ).

New electric boilers at Ostrovská Heating Plant successfully certified

Complex Project designed, delivered, installed, and commissioned two new electric boilers, each with an output of 1 MW, intended for providing power balancing services. The project also included the delivery and installation of a new transformer, switchgear, cable routes, and the connection of the hot water circuit.

Two electric boilers for Ostrov nad Ohří

Complex Project won the tender for the design and installation of two 2×1 MWel electric boilers at Ostrovská teplárenská, a.s., which will be used to provide power balance services. The delivery also includes a new transformer. The start of operation is scheduled for May 2025.

Complex project is working on project documentation for the installation of CHP units, electric boilers and batteries in Kateřinky and Flora in Prague for Prometheus Energy Services. We have prepared the project documentation for the building permit and are currently working on the implementation documentation.

Electrode Boilers for Boxberg Power Plant

Complex Project is installing the primary circuit of two 63 MW electrode boilers at the Boxberg power plant. With a combined capacity of 126 MW, this is one of the largest installations in the world. At the end of August, the feed tank with degasser was completed.
